Third-Year Pathways
Juniors, your exposure to internships and quality professional experiences makes the difference!
Third Year: Career Goal Setting, Gaining Experience & Graduate School Planning - PATHWAY III
- Meet with faculty academic advisor to discuss and/or edit 4 year graduation plan
- Review general education & elective requirements with faculty advisor
- Meet with faculty academic advisor to discuss major and/or major changes
- Students will meet with a member of CAACE twice per semester to prepare for job interviews or graduate school
- Students will work with CAACE to continue to engage with their professional mentor to solidify career or continuing educational goals
- Students will connect with CSLE in order to join student chapters of professional organizations to gain career information and expand professional network
- Students will research graduate/professional school possibilities, the application procedures and deadlines with the assistance of CAACE, the McNair Scholars Program and OTWASS Grad Prep Program.
- Students will register and prepare for admission tests such as the GRE, LSAT and MCAT or GMAT and utilize the Testing Center at Bloomfield College for assistance
- Students will participate in Center for Student Success events designed for third year students
- Students will continue to work with CAACE to gain professional experience through on-campus research, internship/on-campus employment, volunteer work or summer jobs
- Expand e-portfolio to include professional experiences.
- Register for HUM220: Ignite Your Passion Course if it aligns with course expectations.
