Humanities Programs
After a course of study in the Humanities, students will be able to:
- Identify important disciplinary terms, moments, and techniques.

- Employ the appropriate genre conventions, for Humanities-specific audiences, such as Standard American English, for academic and non-academic genres.
- Analyze the cultural, ethical, historical, and social forces that have shaped human behavior, creativity, and thought.
- Evaluate assumptionsin texts that may impact validity or cause bias.
- Formulate a project (written, oral, visual) attentive to audience, purpose, and circumstances, including an organizing or thesis statement.
- Create a project (written, oral, visual) that synthesizes and critiques texts and other forms of expression in the Humanities using primary and/or secondary materials.
