Overview
The RN to BSN Accelerated Degree program provides a fast track to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) for motivated registered nurses who wish to expand their skills beyond the clinical aspect of nursing and increase responsibility and leadership in their nursing career.
Bloomfield College is the place to provide the academic foundation and skills needed to excel in today’s complex health-care environment and meet the challenges facing today’s healthcare providers.
The Bloomfield College RN to BSN Accelerated Degree Program is uniquely designed for working professional Registered Nurses (RNs) who have attained an associate’s degree or diploma in nursing and have an active New Jersey RN license. It is intended to help complete your BSN degree at a faster pace.

Program Completion
You can earn a BSN in 15-18 months by attending classes once a week and completing an online component. All College and General Education requirements must be met to earn the BSN degree; additional courses may be required.

The baccalaureate degree in nursing program at Bloomfield College is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, 655 K Street NW, Suite 750, Washington, DC 20001, 202-887-6791.

The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International provides leadership and scholarship in practice, education, and research to enhance the health of all people. We support learning and professional development of our members who strive to improve nursing care worldwide.
Vision
All three organizations-the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International; The International Honor Society of Nursing Building Corporation; and the International Honor Society of Nursing Foundation-exist to further the vision of the society, which is to create a global community of nurses who lead using scholarship, knowledge, and technology to improve the health of the world’s people.
Membership Information
- “Membership is by invitation only to baccalaureate and graduate nursing students who have demonstrated excellence in scholarship, and to nurse leaders exhibiting exceptional achievements in nursing.”
- Worldwide, more than 340,000 members have been inducted.
- Sigma Theta Tau is the second largest nursing organization in the world, with more than 120,000 active members.

We invite persons meeting the requirements for application to join our chapter. Sustainability requires human interaction, collaboration, and commitment.
You are invited to join Iota Alpha at-Large Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International to sustain our purposes:
- Recognize superior achievement.
- Recognize the development of leadership qualities.
- Foster high professional standards.
- Encourage creative work.
- Strengthen commitment to the ideals and purposes of the profession of nursing.
Those qualified to apply are:
- Undergraduate Students: GPA 3.0 after completing 1/2 of the curriculum
- Graduate Students with a 3.5 GPA after completing 9 units
- RN's not currently enrolled in school are eligible as nurse leaders if they have completed at least a baccalaureate degree and are recommended by an active member of the Alpha Eta Chapter.

Toward this end we invite persons meeting the requirements for application to join our chapter. Sustainability requires human interaction, collaboration, and commitment.
You are invited to join Iota Alpha at-Large Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International to sustain our purposes.
The purposes of Sigma Theta Tau are to:
- Recognize superior achievement.
- Recognize the development of leadership qualities.
- Foster high professional standards.
- Encourage creative work.
- Strengthen commitment to the ideals and purposes of the profession of nursing.
Those qualified to apply are:
- Legally recognized to practice nursing in his/her country
- Minimum of a baccalaureate degree or the equivalent in any field
